Tommy Desquitado

President

Tommy came to Jacksonville after separating from the Air Force Combat Communications Squadron in Germany where he served for 8 years, supporting missions throughout Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia as the only forward deployed unit abroad.  He worked and traveled globally for the DoD on the worldwide simulation program for 2 years, followed by a 4-year stint with the FBI here in Jacksonville in which he supported several projects.  From there, he has worked for several Fortune 100 companies from an upper management level to various hands-on engineering and architecture roles in different areas.  He has over 20+ years of experience in security and IT.  His last stint was working for some of the top cyber security vendors as a Security Solutions Architect supporting accounts in Florida.  Tommy holds several security professional certifications to include, but not limited to, Palo Alto Networks, FireEye, Websense, Vormetric, Microsoft, Cisco, Check Point and Lieberman Software.  He was recently a Co-Owner/Managing Partner of a locally owned and operated Information Security firm which assists companies of all sizes with security challenges in the Southeast, LATAM and the Caribbean.  He is very active and engaged in the Information Security community here in Jacksonville and throughout the Southeast.  He currently works for Palo Alto Networks as a Security Architect assisting Major Accounts in Florida.

Alex Guell

Vice President

Alex is no stranger to the cyber community, he has served on the board of the Jacksonville IT Council for the past five years, in various roles such as an Ambassador to the community, the Speaker Chair for the events, and currently the Council Treasurer.

He is also actively involved in organizing several conferences, such as the Tech Coast Conference, where he served as the Speaker Chair for three years and BSides Jax, where he was the Speaker Co-Chair in 2023. He was recently voted as the Vice President of InfraGard Jax Member Alliance for a two-year term starting in 2024 and is looking forward to what the team will offer this year and beyond.

Outside of volunteer hours he is the Client Success Executive for OnDefend where their focus is to keep their customers, friends and community safe from cybercrime. Drop him a line! Dan Pinto

Dan is an Information Technology (IT) Professional with extensive experience in Information Security, Privacy and Compliance. Dan spent 15 years doing Intelligence work at the National Security Agency in Fort Meade, MD, and 10 years as a Director, Information Security at Johnson & Johnson before arriving in Jacksonville. At that time, Dan founded RAC Partners, Inc., and has been providing high value Cyber Security services to large and small customers. Dan is skilled in developing Enterprise Security and IT Architectures and solutions for the business challenges of large, global enterprises through direct and dotted-line, international relationships. He has a strong background in security governance, policy creation, identity management and data protection using cryptography, program and portfolio management, customer segmentation, business case analysis and budgeting. Experienced in developing solutions tailored for local, regional, and global user populations. Dan also spends some of time coaching 17U Youth Hockey and is certified as a Level 2 Hockey Coach.

Dan Pal

Treasurer

Daniel Pal is an Information Security Engineer \\ Team lead at MRI software. Daniel graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Technology and is currently attending the EC Council University for his Masters in Cyber Security in Executive Leadership in Information Assurance.
With over a decade of experience as a network and security engineer, he has worked in information security roles across government and private enterprise. Daniel was formerly a Security Engineer at Web.com and a Senior System Engineer/Security Officer at Advanced Network Solutions.
Daniel has served on the SANS Advisory Board since March 2010 and currently maintains the following security certifications. CISSP, CCSP, GSEC, GCIH, GCIA, GCWN, GWAPT

Josh Susen

Communications and Membership Director

Josh Susen is the President of InfoShield, specializing in Cybersecurity for the financial sector with fractional CISO services, vulnerability management, security assessments, and GRC. Josh has worked in healthcare, banking, internet services, and the forest industry. Before InfoShield he was a Director of IT Security and Compliance at Formativ Health, the Director of IT at CBC National Bank managing the IT team, bank infrastructure, all relevant policy, vendor management, vulnerability management, and the required regulated environment. Previous to CBC Josh worked at Bangor Savings Bank first as a payroll systems administrator, network administrator, and IT Supervisor. The Network/System Engineer at a wireless ISP. and his early career was a programmer for voice recognition software for the Forest Industry.
He holds an MS in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance through WGU, and holds a number of certifications (CISSP, CCSP, CEH).
